Hi. My name is Andrea, in motorbike circles I am known as Bat.
I've been riding since my early twenties and have owned a variety of bikes over the years. The first a Yamaha FZR 250, then a Suzuki SV650, and two Triumph's...
My first Ducati purchase was in 2019. A grey Supersport S. Thinking of the 'trade price' I tried not to ride it too much. After clocking up 10k over summer, it was traded for the Diavel I had my eye on, and still hold close to my heart. Late last year the Triumph Street triple was traded for another Supersport, this one the 2021 model.
Since owning the Diavel I thought about joining DOCNZ, although was hesitant as I was already in another motorbike club which just wasn’t the right fit for me.
Taking the leap, I went to a Wellington DOCNZ meet in Kapiti. I was a bit apprehensive, but the group turned out to be so welcoming and friendly. I felt right at home and comfortable. I knew I had found my people!
There was no turning back! Now I'm a regular attendee at the Palmy North DOCNZ club meetings, and crash the Wellington club nights whenever possible.
I've found Ducati people to be vibrant, energetic, and passionate about their bikes. They love life and live for the ride. I've met so many genuinely wonderful, caring people within DOCNZ, who I am lucky enough to call friends.
The countdown is on to the NDR2023 and I can't wait to meet more of you there!
